Weekend New Home Center Assistant

New Home Center Assistant Purpose Statement

This position is often the first impression SMH customers have of our company and the individual filling it should have a welcoming appearance and disposition. The individual will work with the entire sales team to provide an excellent customer experience to all individuals who visit SMH in person or by phone. The individual will report directly to the Sales Manager.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Open all three model homes at the beginning of the day assuring the correct fixtures and electronics are on and insure the home is in presentable presence for showing
  • Check the stock of snacks and drinks in the Welcome Center and restock as needed
  • Check the homes throughout the day and gather any trash or other items around the houses
  • Greet all guests as they enter welcome center, offer them refreshments
  • Answer all incoming calls with the appropriate SMH greeting
  • Determine the need of any callers or in-person guests and direct them to the right place for assistance
  • Schedule appointments for new or existing customers with a New Home Specialist through scheduling software
  • Input notes on existing customers as appropriate or create registrations for new customers in the CRM system
  • Collect deposits from customers, provide them with a receipt, make a copy of the check and place the deposit in the proper location
  • Collect any items needed to be scanned from the New Home Specialists, scan them in and upload the company server.
  • Restock drinks and snacks and empty all trash receptacles at the end of the day
  • Close houses at the end of the day assuring ALL doors have been locked and secured
  • Work with the the sales team on any other duties that are appropriate and time allows for to assure an excellent customer service experience

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Customer focused and personable
  • Weekend availability required

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Works in temperature-controlled environment.
  •  Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
  • Effective communication skills when dealing with co-workers and trade partners.
  •  Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below the waist.

 

Hours & Salary Range

  • 9 hours per week regularly, additional hours when coverage is needed
