Director of Human Resources
Job Summary
Schuber Mitchell Homes, a rapidly growing regional home builder, headquartered in Joplin, MO, has an immediate need for a Director of Human Resources. We are seeking an experienced professional who has had a background in establishing the structure and processes needed to standup the HR function within a company. Additionally, the successful candidate would have had experience in recruitment and personnel development. A background working with a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) and familiarity with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) would be beneficial as well.
Essential Job Functions
- Talent recruitment
- Establish an employee orientation procedure for new hires
- Manage the onboarding of the new hires
- Create organizational development and employee training programs
- Effectively communicate the facets of compensation and benefit plans to employees
- Help to create and maintain an employee profit sharing plan
- Conduct market compensation surveys
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources
- 10 years + experience in Human Resources field
- Previous work experience at a leadership level in HR
- Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to work either independently or collaboratively
Position Hours and Schedule
- Salaried position - 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, Monday – Friday)
- After hours and weekends may be necessary, on occasion, for trips or to meet deadlines
